Good Morning crafty friends! Last week I shared the adorable colored penguins from MFT Stamps Penguining to Look Like Christmas and I finally finished my project!
Happy Wednesday everyone!! It’s been awhile since I shared any crafty projects or created anything but slowly getting my mojo back I wanted to create something!! With the fall weather starting (it’s a cool 80 down here in sunny Florida) and the holidays right around the corner, I knew what would pick my spirits up….a fun Christmas card!! And the perfect set just had to be the adorable little penguins!
I started by stamping out the images from MFT stamps Penguining to Look Like Christmas and colored using various copic markers:
Reds:
R1, R22, R02, R05, R08, R29 and R89
Blues:
BG11, BG13, BG15, BG49, BG09 and BG78
Greys:
N0, N01, N03, N06, N07 and 100
Once all my penguins were colored, I cut them out using the coordinating die set. Now I have to admit, I was stuck as what to do with them once I had them cut out. A slimline? A A2? But a crafty friend suggested I use the new MFT Mini Slimline OTB and it combines the best of both worlds! I used the coordinating Mini OTB Snow Drifts die with some sparkle cardstock.
So I used the new Cool Colab 6×6 paper pad for my color scheme and created my box! This box die is so easy to use and really comes out beautiful! I love that it folds flat to fit in a slimline envelope.
Once my box was created I started to add the penguins in with strips of acetate and adhered in various spots. I stamped my sentiment from the set Seasons Greetings. I also used this as my background village.
I am so happy the way this card turned out and I hope you like just as much as I do!
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!
