Happy Sunday and Happy Father’s Day to all the fabulous dads out there who love us, support our craft hobby (I know mine does emotionally and financially LOL) and bring nothing but love to our families. Wishing you the best day because you Dads deserve it!! Thank you for all you do everyday! So I decided to show my hubby just how much I appreciate him for not only being a wonderful father to our son, but an amazing husband as well with a personalized Father’s Day Card.
Even though I feel as I am avid card maker, for some reason I always buy store bought cards for my husband and love ones?!? Does any other card maker do this? LOL so I thought it would be a nice change to actually “make” a card for my him. He is not only amazing to our 5-year old son but he’s always supportive of me and my crafting journey, I mean he even knows the card making lingo! He would say to me “wow love I love how you used foam adhesive to give it more dimension, or your ink blending is really good on that one panel” LOL. Even though he always supports me emotionally and mentally, he also always supports my card making hobby financially! LOL, he would say “you’re being extra nice, what is there a release tonight?” Simply put….He’s the best of the best and I am one lucky girl to call him mine!!
So in honor of him being all around amazing, I knew I had to use the perfect set and the LawnFawn Dad+Me is simply perfect. I was recently inspired by Caly’s Person’s amazingly gorgeous LawnFawn Spectacular Skies card featuring that amazingly gorgeous galaxy sky!! (seriously you have to clink on the link to check out if you haven’t already).
I started ink blending my panel using Distress Ink Oxides in Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, Seedless Preserves, and Wilted Violet. I then used some diluted white paint for splatters for a night starry sky. I then used the LawnFawn Peekaboo Backdrop for my frame which I ran through my die cutting machine using dark grey cardstock. I arranged the images on the bottom of the frame and added some Nuvo Clear Glaze drops on the water and cattail plants. I knew the cute little moose in this set was perfect to represent him and my son.
For my sentiments, I used the Honey Bee Stamp Father’s Day set which is actually perfect for this occasion. But I love this set because it has different titles in beautiful script that can be used for any occasion for that special male in your life! I stamped my sentiments in embossing ink on dark grey cardstock, and heat embossed using LawnFawn white embossing powder. I arranged my sentiments in the upper right and left panels using foam adhesive.
I hope you enjoyed this card and I hope my hubby loves it as well! Wishing all the amazing dads out there a very Happy Father’s Day!!
Thanks for stopping by! xoxoxox
