Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!! Today I am sharing a fun card truly wishing everyone Thanksgiving Blessings!

I thought I would take a quick break from Christmas cards, to make at least one for Thanksgiving!  This card took me longer to make than I would like to admit, but I am so happy with the way it turned out.  I started by ink blending my panel using Distress Oxides in new Dried Marigold, Carved Pumpkin and Gathered Twigs.  Once I was done ink blending, I kept my stencil on top and used Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone over the stencil.  I love the effect this paste has over the distress oxides!  After I peeled off my stencil I set aside to dry.

For the sentiment, I ink blended another panel using the same colors.  I then used Studio Katia’s Darling Ribbon and Frames Die.  Now I did alter it a bit because it was too big for my sentiment and covered up too much of glimmer paste panel.  I then stamped my in VersaMark Embossing Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

Now I was ready to assemble my card.  I adhered my glimmer paste panel to a piece of brown card stock a little bit larger than my panel.  I then used foam adhesive to adhere to my card base.  I also used foam adhesive to add my sentiment on top.  I had some little extra leaves  left over from a previous project that I colored in with Zig Markers in the same color scheme.  I added some Nuvo Vintage Drops for accents.

I wish the pictures showed all the glitz this card has but I can tell you, it’s definitely more sparkly in person! Lol.  Thank you for stopping by and I want to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!!

My love! I love how this card came out. Your right, it is a lot more glitterey ( is that a word? Haha) in person but it screams Thanksgiving . The colors you used and the blending make this card look very warm at first glance and the you see the sparkles! Just like the Thanksgiving dinner your going to cook me tomorrow it’s warm and inviting! Awesome love!
