Happy Monday everyone!! Hope everyone had an amazing weekend! I know I did! I celebrated World Card Making Day at Whimsodoodle in St. Pete taking a class taught by Jen Shurkus!! We made some awesome cards and I learned so much! If you ever get the chance to take one of her classes I highly recommend you do!! (She is amazing!!) but I was also to finally able to meet my dear crafty friend Dana in person and made some new friends as well. We laughed, we crafted, and we shopped!! It was one of the best days!! But before I left, I was working on this Christmas Card using Sunny Studio Stamps Christmas Home Stamp and I couldn’t wait to get home to finish it!!
I combined two stamps sets, Christmas Home and Christmas Trimmings. I absolutely love Sunny Studio Stamp sets, especially their layered stamps! To start I used Sunny Studio Stamps Stitched Oval Die on white Neenah cardstock which I ran through my die cutting machine. I then set that aside as stamped my images on a separate piece of cardstock. I used the left over oval from my die cut panel which I ink blended using Distress Oxides for my background. While that was drying, I started to color in my stamped images from the Christmas Home set using various Copic Markers. For the holly, pine needles, and pinecone, I used various shades of ink since these are layered stamps. I love all the depth and highlights you achieve with these layered stamps! They are so fun and easy to use!
Once everything was stamped and I die cut all my pieces, I was ready to assemble my card. I first glued down my ink blended oval onto my card base. I then adhered my white oval die cut panel using foam tape. I then added the house using foam tape as well. I also wanted to add the fence which I glued the underside of my white oval cut panel. I then added the pine needles, holly and pinecone at the top of my card with a little bit overlapping onto the house. I stamped my sentiment Merry Christmas from the Christmas Trimmings set at the bottom of my card. I decided to add two lampposts as well because they were just too cute not too! I used some Lawnfawn Prisma Glitter for snow on the house for extra detail.
I hope you enjoyed this card as much I did making it! I just love Christmas, especially making Christmas cards!! Hope everyone has a fabulous day!! Thanks for stopping by!
