Hello and happy Wednesday my friends! I’m so happy to back up on the MFT Blog today with a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge featuring the cutest cactus set – Let’s Stick Together from their latest release.

I am super excited to share with you today this fun cactus card featuring the new stamp set Let’s Stick Together! I started off by stamping all of my images onto Neenah Solar White Cardstock and coloring with various copic markers.

My main colors I used for my cacti are:

• YG11, YG06, YG09, YG91 and G09

Once all my images were stamped and colored, I ran each one with the coordinating die through my die cutting machine.

For my card panel, I used the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics one size smaller than my card base and ran through my die cutting machine.  I then ink blended lightly using Sour Apple Premium Dye Ink just on the top portion of my panel.

For my vertical strips I decided to use the Folded Fishtail Banner as it was the perfect width I wanted and adhered to my card panel using foam adhesive.  I cut off the extra hanging off.

I wanted to add a fun element to my card and I had this idea of adding desert sand to go along with my cacti! I added strips of adhesive tape and poured a little sand over each strip. It was the perfect added element of detail I wanted to achieve!

I used one of the sentiments included with the stamp set and heat embossed on black cardstock with white embossing powder.  Once I was happy with the arrangement of all my images, I adhered each one with some foam adhesive.  I added some clear round drops for a little extra detail!
