Rose Garden & All Tucked In – MFT Guest Designer

MFTandFriends

Happy Tuesday everyone! I am excited to share that I am a guest designer for My Favorite Things – December Release today!!!  This release is simply amazing and so much cuteness!  I have two cards to share with you today but my first one is the lovely new Rose Garden Stamp set.

RoseGarden Main 1

I absolutely love this stamp set because it is the perfect cluster for your card front! MFT takes all the guess work of piecing it together and does it seemingly all in one piece.  I started stamping my rose image twice (one for the main cluster and I used one for the upper corner) with MFT Grout Grey Ink and colored using various Faber-Castell colored pencils.  I then ran both colored panels through my die cutting machine with the Rose Garden coordinating dies.  I attached foam adhesive and adhered to my ink blended panel.

I stamped my sentiment from the set Beautiful Blessings 2.  This stamp set features beautiful sayings in a lovely script font.  I added a white border using theA2 Rectangle Frames.  I thought this really made the image pop but also kept it clean and simple.

Keep scrolling to see my second card featuring the super cute Stacey Yacula’s All Tucked In stamp set.

For my second card I used the fabulous Stacey Yacula’s All Tucked In.  This stamp set is simply the cutest with so many adorable images and sentiments.  I had so much fun creating this card!!

I started out stamping my main image onto a sheet of Neenah White 110lb card stock and masking each additional image as I wanted it to appear some pieces were in front of the other.  While all my images were still masked, I started on my floor by simply drawing slanted lines for perspective and shading loosely with various Copic Sketch Markers to give the appearance of wooden floor boards. The rug is from the stamp set Merry Christmoose and it was the perfect added detail.  I then did some ink blending to create the walls.  Once the floor and walls were done, I removed the masking paper to start coloring my images.

I had so much fun coloring in the images with my Copic Sketch Markers and creating depth with shading since this is mostly a single layer card.  I used the coordinating dies to die cut the picture frames and added some foam adhesive to give a little extra dimension. I heat embossed one of the coordinating sentiments from this set and adhered to my card panel using foam adhesive.  I definitely tried some new techniques with this card and I am so happy with the way it turned out!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy this release as much as I did!! Wishing you all a fabulous day!!

Such a beautiful floral card! I love colored pencils! They take a while to color but what a labor of love! And your second card is darling, great way to create the look of dimension!
