Happy Birthday – O Hoppy Day

PowerPoppy 1

Good Morning and happy Wednesday!! Hope everyone is enjoying their week so far! So today I am sharing a card I made for my brother’s upcoming birthday on Sunday! Anyone who knows Marcella from PowerPoppy knows she is the absolute sweetest and her stamps are amazing!!

I knew as soon as I saw PowerPoppy stamp set O Hoppy Day  set I knew it was perfect for a masculine card.  PowerPoppy stamps are so detailed you always get a beautiful crisp stamped image.  I started off by stamping the image on my panel using Altenew ink in Dark Chocolate.  I colored the image using Copic and Prismacolor Pencils.  I then stamped the sentiment using Versamark embossing ink and heat embossed with InkOn3 Gold Rush embossing powder.  If you haven’t tried these embossing powders yet I highly recommend you do! They emboss perfect and crisp!

I then adhered it to my card base.  I added a die cut patterned paper frame around my panel and adhered using foam tape.  For my “beer” I colored with Copics and added Nuvo Glaze on top to make it look like actual glass.  I also added some clear bubbles for “fizz” and crystals for accents.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I did making it! And Happy Birthday to my older brother Joe, I hope you like it!! Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!!

Oh my love! This is a great card for Joe! Makes me want to have a nice cold pint on a crisp fall day haha! Love the layout and the plaid, the bubbles from the beer are very eye catching and a great little detailed addition that makes this card fun to look at. I’m thirsty now..
