Fall Greetings…

APPLES 2

Happy Labor Day and it’s Stamptember!! So today I am sharing a card that reminds me of Autumn in New York.  I miss all the seasons, living in Florida there’s pretty much only one season down here and it’s summer!  But growing up in NY, fall was definitely my favorite time of year!

I had an idea in my mind, and I knew I had to use Honey Bee Stamps Bushel & A Peck stamp and die set.  It’s perfect for the autumn season!

I started by stamping my background for the base using Concord & 9th Plaid Background Stamp Set.  I love this stamp set so much because of all the versatility it gives you! It’s endless options and perfect for all seasons.  I then used the Honey Bee Stamp set A Bushel and a Peck for the apples, barrel, leaves and sentiment.  I stamped the apples in clear embossing powder before I colored them with Copic markers and added detail with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I stamped the barrel onto Lawn Fawn Woodgrain paper to give it a more “real” wood kind of feel.  I adhered the barrel onto my back panel using foam adhesive tape.  I then added my apples on the panel, some glued down flat, others popped up with foam tape to give it more dimension.  Once my apples were in, I had an idea to use actual hay.  So I added a thin layer of glue on the top of the barrel and sprinkled some cut up hay to give it a more realistic feel.  I then added some extra leaves and an apple to the bottom of the barrel.  I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder and adhered to the barrel using foam tape.  I added some Nuvo Crystal drops in black for extra detail and dimension.  Once everything was adhered, I attached my back panel using foam tape to the base of my card.

  1. Your love says:

This card captures everything Fall my love! From the plaid background, detail in the apples and the hay for added Autumn texture. Couple that with the color scheme and you have a very well done seasonal design!
